Summer Time!

Ah sighhh….summer is finally here for real, and this time of year I feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful place. The Cape is buzzing with tourists from all over enjoying clam chowder, throwing dinner parties and playing in the sand.

I love Cape Cod summer’s and there are so many exciting things coming up in the next few months. We have a photo shoot with the ever-so talented Trent Bailey this week which I am super psyched for! Then I am also heading over to Palette to Palate at the Cape Cod Museum with Sara and our buds Stacey Hedman and Becca from Petal Floral Design. Then some swanky soirees both here on the Cape and Nantucket followed by weddings weddings and more weddings! Excited to see what the summer brings ashore…

Rachel and Josh are Getting Married!!

This post is bitter sweet for me because I am beyond excited to see Rachel and Josh tie the knot this weekend but also, I can’t believe it will be the last week of planning with them wahhhh! OK seriously though, these two are as sweet as pie and I cannot wait to see their wedding dreams come together. All of us at DSE wish you two all the happiness in the world and we couldn’t be happier for you xoxo!

Surreal…

I had the amazing opportunity of working with Kristy Rice from Momental Designs on a Salvador Dali inspired photo shoot this winter. Sara and I traveled to Scranton, PA with the car jam packed and spent the day styling and creating. I also got to design the dessert table with the scrumptious yummies by Lisa from Delicious Desserts.

Supporting Japan…

A few months ago after the earthquake hit Japan, I think all of us felt like we wanted to help in someway. So when Utterly Engaged got involved and did a Bloggers Day of Silence (For Japan with Love) and tons of wedding vendors and beyond participated I was thrilled to as well. My cousin and his wife and baby live in Japan, and although far from the chaos, I can only imagine what they must have been thinking and feeling.

Soon after, Christian Oth Studio mentioned they would donate the proceeds of a portrait session to help the relief and I was IN! Here are some images from our shoot, I hope you like!
